Lately...

Wow, it's been over a year and a half since I've last posted...apparently I'm not too hip in the blog world! It will take WAYYY too long to try and update the last 20 months so I'll try and recap the major events of 2010.

Last June we moved into a new apartment which has been really good for us. We loved our last place but they were going to raise the rent over $100.00 a month so we decided to find a cheaper place. We ended up finding an apartment that was almost $100.00 cheaper than we were paying at the last place and is almost the exact same square footage! STEAL! We also have the pleasure of living RIGHT next door to Chad's cousin and his cute wife so it's been fun to have such awesome people SO close (and by close, I mean we walk out our front door, walk 2 steps and we're at their front door).

In August we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary by going to San Francisco! It was such a fun trip! We saw Wicked on the very last showing in SF, and it was AMAZING! Chad isn't a fan of musicals but he really enjoyed it. We also went to Alcatraz which was super cool, and the California Academy of Sciences which was a HUGE museum. We weren't allowed to take pictures though, so I only got a few of the cute penguins (because penguins are my fav). We rode the cable cars and went to Ghirardelli Square where we got some yummy chocolate ice cream. We also went to Chinatown which was a ton of fun. Authentic Chinese food is definitely the way to go. It was such a fun trip! We both said once we left, we could totally see ourselves living there in the future.

I don't have any pictures, but for Thanksgiving we were able to go down to Utah to celebrate with my family. It was so fun to be able to spend time with them! I hate not being able to see my family whenever I want, but I really am lucky we are able to make the drive to see them. Utah is much closer than New York! I don't think I could handle it if my parents still lived back east!

Chad is almost done with school and we are SO excited about it! He's been such a busy boy. He will be graduating with his Accounting degree in May. WOOHOO! One more semester! He also just started (two weeks ago) working for the Idaho State Tax Commission and he LOVES it. Which is a good thing, since it's what he'll be doing for the rest of his life!

I'm working for YESCO, an outdoor advertising company, and am so blessed that I love my job so much! I've had some pretty not-so-fun jobs in the past, so I'm so grateful I have one that's treated us so well. For a while Chad was just going to school full time, so we were lucky that I had my awesome job to support us while he focused on his difficult classes.

Other than that, we've just been living life one day at a time! We're grateful for this awesome time of year and look forward to spending our 3rd Christmas together :)
