Trip to Utah

So in my past post I said we weren't going to be able to see my mom for her birthday... well that was a lie. Chad and I drove down to Utah to surprise her! We left work early on Thursday (her birthday) and got to Utah around 8:00pm. I told my dad a few weeks earlier that we were planning on surprising her so he had worked out that we'd surprise her at the Utah Bee's baseball game. We picked up our tickets at will call, got settled in our seats, and a few minutes later my mom and dad showed up. They came to their seats and there we were! Her jaw dropped and she didn't say anything...she just stared. So hilarious! It was such a fun surprise!

My dad had a few other arrangements made as well! I don't know if you can tell, but it says "Happy Birthday Patrice Eyre". Pretty sweet.

The next day we went to downtown Salt Lake to visit my dad's work and see the new Joseph Smith movie. We also did a tour of the Beehive house, which was really cool to see. If you haven't done the tour, check it out! Three prophets lived there, including (obviously) Brigham Young. There's some seriously awesome stuff there.

It was such a busy, but fun trip! I'm so glad we were able to spend time with the family for a few days. Love you all!
